Younger Playmates
I have been doing some reading, and it strikes me odd at how so many gay stories seem to dwell on the old with young coupling. I mean are we somehow predisposed to be seeking younger partners?
On Wednesday I celebrated my fourth LEGAL anniversary with David. I am 53 and he is 31, but we have been together for almost 13 years. He was 18 and I was 40, so who am I to talk, right?
And yet, I wonder, is this part of the natural order of things, and if so, how come he was attracted to me? I mean it isn’t like I was rich or even well off, and believe me, I am butt ugly, so why would someone his age, want me?
Obviously some are predisposed for older men, otherwise why would us old farts get lucky, like I have with David. And yet, as he gets older, does he too want or desire someone younger, or is all this merely a result of our society and its obsession with youth?
I wonder, is part of it a desire for authority, to make up for a lack when much younger? Is it about security, or something else?
